Kids West Western Sydney Paediatric Foundation

Kids West is a local children’s charity that raises funds for Medical research, for development and distribution of educational programs in accident awareness, and for medical equipment for children living in western Sydney.

Kids West has been supporting Paediatric and Neonatal intensive care units across western Sydney for over 20 years, working to make a positive impact on children’s lives and supporting families through what is always a difficult time.

Aptus Director, James Solomons is treasurer and board member at Kids West.

Redbacks Football Club

Redbacks Football Club is a family friendly club that is large enough to offer you and your child the full soccer experience while still small enough for you to know everyone’s name. Redbacks has been going for 52 years

Aptus Director, James Solomons is treasurer and life member of the Redbacks.

Macquarie University

Aptus works closely with Macquarie University as part of the Participation and Community Engagement (PACE) program.

James and Rebecca are Guest lecturers as part of ACCG315, Accountants in the Profession and James sit on the advisory panel for accounting degrees. As part of the Macquarie Alumni, James is a regular student mentor.

Under 23 Male (Colts’) surf boat rowing crew from South Narrabeen Surf Lifesaving Club

Aptus are proud to be sponsoring the Under 23 Male Colts’ for their 2015/2016 season.

The South Narrabeen Colts’ Crew formed 2 years ago and have competitively raced at an international level achieving impressive results, including:

  • Winners, Manly ASRL Open Carnival 2015
  • Second place, Sydney Northern Beaches Branch Carnival 2015
  • Second place, Sydney Northern Beaches Branch Overall Point score 2015
  • Third place, Australian Surf Rowers League Open, Warilla Beach 2015
  • Semi-final, NSW State Championships 2015

Aside from competition they are dedicated to training and club activities. Two of their crew members were recently presented with the ‘Rower of the Year 2014/2015’ award and ‘Rowers Rower’, given for commitment and consistency throughout the season whilst conjunctively completing volunteer lifesaving patrols at South Narrabeen Beach.
